The stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Tokyo features a rotating cast of Japan’s most prestigious stage and screen actors. Renowned performers bring the iconic roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley to life, capturing the emotional complexities of adulthood and parenthood nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts. The production is meticulously cast to ensure each performance maintains the high dramatic standards set by the original West End and Broadway creators.
This production is produced by HoriPro and is the first of its kind in Asia, featuring a full Japanese cast and creative team working in collaboration with the international producers. The actors undergo intensive training to master the physical theater and complex magical illusions required for the show. Their performances have been widely praised for blending the universal themes of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World with a distinct and powerful Japanese theatrical sensibility.
